This story is the first in a series of recollections as we help people delve into their past, we film them looking at their personal photos.

This first film is about Mr Singh who came to the UAE in 1981, when he was 25 years old. He’s worked in construction, carpentry and hotel maintenance for 40 years, to support his family, who live in India.

Today we take and share pictures often daily- Why? How do photos help us remember our past? And what remains when we can’t?
